We are Affirming & Celebrate Neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, BIPOC, Cultural Differences, Dissociation, CPTSD!

As human beings, we all have nervous systems that live within complex systems. These nervous systems help us perceive and respond to the world around us. We believe there is no “correct” way for a nervous system to work and that our nervous systems and bodies are exactly as they should be. Many of us have lived experiences that have invalidated our own lived experiences - Whether from our families, schools, workplaces, past therapists, and the world around us, we have been told that something is “wrong” with us or felt inherently unsafe and like we need to change for safety and a sense of worth.

For some these differences have been labeled as ADHD, Autistic, Aspergers, Highly Sensitive, Borderline, Bipolar, CPTSD, and more. If those labels help you, we support you. If those labels have been stigmatizing or harmful to you, we are also here for you.

At IFS EMDR Therapy group, we understand there is a wide range of ways that people perceive and respond to the world, and we embrace, encourage, and celebrate these differences.

As therapists and fellow human beings, we aspire to approach each person with cultural humility, which means we will work with you to get to know your lived experiences, nervous system, and how your system responds in the world around you, as well as in therapy.

We love integrating sensory resourcing and creative approaches to the therapy process that attune to what works best for you and welcome feedback when something doesn’t work for you!
